Are you a commercially driven CFO with a strong track record of financial leadership and business performance? Do you want to play a pivotal role in shaping the continued growth and development of an international industrial group, combining strategic business partnership with overall responsibility for Finance, HR and IT?

Vindex is leading the search for a CFO to join OctoCore in Malmö. The position carries broad responsibility across Finance, HR and IT and plays a key role in supporting the Group’s continued profitable growth. Vindex is managing the recruitment process, while the successful candidate will be directly employed by OctoCore.

About the Position

As CFO, you will have overall responsibility for the company’s financial leadership, governance and performance. You will work closely with the CEO and Executive Management Team, providing strategic financial insight, commercial perspective and decision support across the business.

The role extends beyond the traditional CFO remit. In addition to Finance, you will oversee HR and IT, with responsibility for strengthening the organisation’s operating model, processes, systems and governance as the business develops. You will work closely with the business and Executive Management Team to enhance transparency, accountability and scalability, while maintaining a strong focus on performance and profitable growth.

As a member of Executive Management, you will act as a strategic advisor to the CEO on matters including business strategy, investments, performance, organisational development and future growth. You will lead the Malmö-based team and hold functional responsibility within the international matrix organisation in the Netherlands.

This is a senior leadership role for a commercially minded CFO who combines strong financial acumen with sound business judgement and the ability to translate strategy into action. You will be expected to challenge constructively, drive decisions and create measurable impact across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

● Lead the Group Finance function with overall responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, controlling and performance management

● Ensure strong financial governance and a high standard of reporting, internal controls, compliance and risk management

● Drive effective management of liquidity, cash flow, working capital and profitability

● Develop and strengthen the Group’s KPI framework, business intelligence and transparency across financial and operational performance

● Translate financial analysis into actionable business insights and clear recommendations to support executive decision-making

● Serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Executive Management Team on business development, investments, profitability and growth

● Support the Group’s continued organic growth and lead financial input to future M&A activities

● Lead and develop the HR function, including organisational development, talent management, recruitment, compensation and employee relations

● Strengthen the organisation’s scalability through clear leadership, effective structures and a high-performance culture

● Oversee the IT function, ensuring that systems, processes and digital solutions enable business development, operational efficiency and scalable growth

● Lead and develop the Malmö-based team while operating within an international matrix organisation and maintaining functional responsibility in the Netherlands

● Drive cross-functional and cross-border collaboration to foster a cohesive, scalable and high-performing organisation

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong track record as a CFO or senior finance executive in an international B2B environment. You combine strong financial leadership with a clear commercial orientation and a strong understanding of how finance can drive business and organisational performance.

To be successful in the role, you will have:

● A university degree in Finance, Economics or a related field

● Several years of experience in a senior CFO role or equivalent strategic finance leadership position

● A proven track record across financial governance, analysis, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and performance management

● Experience from an international business, preferably within an industrial or manufacturing environment

● Strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding of profitability, cash flow and value creation

● Experience partnering closely with a CEO and Executive Management Team on strategic and business-critical matters

● Experience leading organisational and business development initiatives

● Proven leadership experience, including developing functions and teams, preferably in an international or matrix organisation

● The ability to operate effectively across borders, functions and a broad range of stakeholders

● Excellent written and spoken Swedish and English

As a leader, you bring structure and direction to complex environments and are motivated by driving change and organisational development. You work effectively across functions, cultures and borders, building alignment and a clear direction in an international organisation.
